NUTRITION

Drink effective: Physical efforts go along with loss of water and sweat. If you do not drink enough, your body dries out. The first signs of dehydration are: cramps, concentration loss, fatigue, performance degradation.
Fuel: carbohydrates are the main source of energy for any athlete. When you don’t eat enough carbohydrate-rich food or drink to less between and during your efforts your “tank” will get empty and the body will reduce your level of performance. The use of extra carbohydrate (+/-60 g/hour) during training longer than two hours, ensures that the phenomenon of the “man with the hammer” will not happen.
Effective recovery: maximum performance can only take place after the body is recovered fully from the earlier maximum performance. Insufficient recovery will reduce performance and increase the change of injuries.
